The condition of the barn floor can be decisive for trouble-free cleaning runs. It can significantly influence the cleaning result and play an important role in terms of hygiene. Rubber floor coverings are generally compatible with scraper systems and, thanks to their many positive properties, are beneficial to animal welfare and cow comfort. The alleyway surfaces should offer as little space as possible for dirt deposits. Because no matter how well a manure scraper system has been adjusted and installed, spaces caused by gaps and edges in the barn floor are not only difficult to clean, but cannot be reached at all with a manure scraper. In addition, protruding edges can cause the scraper to come off its guide and thus paralyse the entire system. The consequences are fatal for the operating process and put a strain on already scarce resources.
Huber Technik therefore relies on gapless stable floorings – up to 70 metres are possible without connecting elements. The scraper can run through without “bumping” and the susceptibility to faults is reduced. Our tried and tested surface with the so-called hammered profile contributes to optimum clearing results. We also offer a special insert for clearing flaps for our grooved surface, the N26 ALLEY. Thanks to the adaptation, the grooves are scraped off with every passage, as are the surfaces in between. The N26 ALLEY alleyway surface allows urine to flow away more quickly from the walking and standing surface. This remains in the grooves until the next clearing. The surfaces and thus the cows’ hooves remain drier and therefore healthier. The formation of ammonia can also be reduced. The innovative structure of the N26 ALLEY walkway coating also prevents the formation of solid ice surfaces, so that manure scrapers can continue to run even in sub-zero temperatures, the scraping result remains good and manual re-mucking is not necessary.
Unfortunately, many products, whether manure removal systems or stable floor coverings, have seen a deterioration in the materials used. However, the stress to which machines, equipment and floor coverings are exposed remains high. The disappointment and dissatisfaction of previously brand-loyal farmers over the declining quality of stable technology and equipment is correspondingly high.
